Health Surveillance

Businesses have a moral and legal obligation to ensure that their health surveillance programmes are compliant and relevant.

At Fusion Occupational Health, we can determine the needs of your employees and establish a comprehensive occupational health surveillance programme. This can measure the needs of a job role against the level of care provided.

Compliant Occupational Health Surveillance Programmes

You can comply with relevant health and safety legislation, including:

  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
  • Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
  • Specialist legislation relating to specific chemicals, substances or risks

Needs Analysis

This is specifically designed to your key occupational health groups. Needs analysis includes a review of your existing health surveillance matrix, your relevant policies and procedures and a review of your risk assessments. As part of the set-up process we will carry out a free desktop analysis of your needs to produce an appropriate matrix.

Following the outcomes and recommendations outlined in the needs analysis, we will work in partnership with you to implement and maintain a planned annual health surveillance programme.

Surveillance may include the following:

  • Audiology assessments
  • Cardiorespiratory and dermatology investigations for COSHH
  • Drivers and fork lift truck operator's assessments
  • Food handler’s assessments
  • Vibration, HAVS and manual handling assessments
  • Cold storage reviews
  • Night workers screening
  • Breathing apparatus and confined space medicals
  • Drug and alcohol screening including chain of custody requirements, if necessary
  • Industry specific assessments
