Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England Training

We offer the widely recognised Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training courses, This training will enable you to build a team of Mental Health First Aiders. Through a blend of instructor-led live sessions and self-learning activities, your employees will:

  • Develop practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Gain confidence to reassure and support a person in distress
  • Learn how to guide them to further support for recover

Our training teaches your colleagues to listen, reassure, respond and support employees who may be experiencing a mental health problem.

Mindfulness Coaching Sessions

Practicing mindfulness has a positive impact on your mental and emotional health. The mindfulness coaching sessions improve your ability to remain task focused and ensure you are better equipped to cope with stress in and out of the workplace. It offers you a greater sense of wellbeing and creates a more unified working environment and workforce.

At fusion we offer mindfulness coaching sessions for groups or on a 1-2-1 basis. All sessions are tailored to the needs of the participants. Working 1-2-1 allows a person to address their individual needs and a course of 6 session enables our mindfulness coach to personalise the sessions and support the individual with stress, anxiety and other issues. 

Mindfulness at work has been shown to reduce, depression and anxiety and improve resilience. Studies have shown that it improves memory and people who practice mindfulness are less emotionally reactive. It improves productivity by teaching participants to focus and pay purposeful attention to the task at hand. Mindfulness improves the work environment as people learn to be more conscious and present. Skills such as acceptance and noticing are learnt which enhance emotional intelligence and empathy. Both of which are important in the workplace.

Counselling Service

Our in-house integrative counsellor is available to individuals who have been recognised as possibly benefitting from counselling. An initial consultation is offered so that the individual can decide whether they feel they can work together with the counsellor, and for the counsellor to gain a basic understanding of their presenting issues.

The integrative approach to counselling we offer include a combination of a person centred approach, transactional analysis and CBT. The core conditions of empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence all work to create a therapeutic relationship which will see the counsellor supporting the individual in understanding why they feel like they do and helping them to move on. Working from the individual’s perspective, a step by step approach is taken to support individuals referred to us.
